Darjeeling is a premium tea grown exclusively in Darjeeling, India, with just 87 estates officially recognized and protected by the Tea Board of India. Each harvest is unique and limited, making first flush teas like Seeyok Estate especially prized.

This tea was grown in the high mountains of India, plucked by skilled hands, crafted with traditional artisan techniques, and shipped to us directly from Darjeeling within weeks of harvest. We are honored to share it with you.

This organic first flush offers smooth notes of honey, meadow flowers, and oak, mingling with a fresh vegetal note and balanced by a crisp muscatel grape finish. It is an extraordinary choice for black tea lovers seeking brightness and for oolong drinkers who appreciate layered complexity.

First Flush Darjeelings are harvested during the early spring thaw when two leaves and a bud are plucked from the plant’s first growth. These young, tender leaves produce teas that are delicate, floral, fresh, and lightly astringent. Less oxidized and more greenish in color than typical black teas, they are best enjoyed straight without milk or sugar.

Often called the Champagne of teas, first flush Darjeelings are among the most prized and expensive teas in the world. Their limited production, labor-intensive harvest, and unique aromatic complexity make them a treasured choice for tea lovers.

About Seeyok Estate:
Founded in 1869 near the India-Nepal border, Seeyok Estate sits at 3,600–5,900 feet in Darjeeling’s Mirik Valley. It was one of the first gardens in the region to adopt organic cultivation in the 1990s.
