The root of the turmeric plant (Curcuma longa), a plant that's part of the Zingiberaceae family alongside cardamom and ginger, has been consumed for centuries for medicinal reasons. Turmeric is used to ease inflammation, improve brain function, ease arthritis symptoms, lower risk of heart disease, prevent against cancer, and may prevent or treat against Alzheimer’s disease.

Steep Directions: steep 1-2 heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 oz boiling water, 205-212°F, for 7-10 minutes
