Tasting Notes: leafy greens, cucumber, grass
Description: Kukicha is naturally sweeter than other Japanese green teas. This tea has succulent notes of cut grass, cucumber, fresh pressed green juice, and kale. The experience of this tea is a warm and round one with lingering grassy green notes. Excellent hot and iced.
A beautiful tea to gaze at due to its unmistakable brilliant shade of vibrant green. Kukicha, also known as Twig Tea, is made from the stems of tea leaves. The tea leaf stems are accumulated during the leaf sorting process while making sencha green tea. During the sorting of sencha, the discarded tea leaf stems, that are not used for sencha green tea, are used to craft kukicha. The use of these stems, in lieu of tea leaves, makes kukicha a vibrant green tea that has ultra green grassy notes.
Ingredients: organic green tea from Japan made from the stems of the tea plant
