Nepal Gold Organic
Tasting Notes: caramel, honey, sweet earth, apricot
Description: Nepal Gold is a golden-tipped black tea with toasty sweetness and minimal astringency. The hand-plucked leaves are slowly oxidized to bring out rich, full flavor. It brews a smooth, satisfying cup with warm notes of caramel, honey, and sweet earth, layered with hints of apricot and a sun-drenched finish.
Grown between 4,200 and 6,000 feet in the Himalayan foothills, Nepali tea gardens are small, high-elevation farms that produce teas known for their complexity and balance. While still lesser-known than Darjeeling, Nepali black teas share a similar character—earthy and floral with soft muscatel notes and stone fruit undertones.
This tea comes from the Kanchanjangha Tea Estate, Nepal’s first certified organic tea garden. The estate sits near Mt. Kanchanjangha, the world’s third-highest peak, and is operated as a model social enterprise focused on sustainability and community wellbeing.
Recommended for fans of Golden Monkey and Yunnan Gold, this tea will appeal to both seasoned tea drinkers and those exploring golden-tipped black teas.
