Tasting Notes: wood, jasmine, earth, grass

Description: A rare and exquisite premium green tea that is crafted by hand in small batches. Every cup of this magnificent tea showcases centuries-old tea traditions.

This green tea is delicate with hints of jasmine, subtle wood undertones, and sweet earthy high notes. A soft smoke finish at the end leaves a trace of mystery. Each sip reveals a complexity of flavor that awakens the taste buds.

This artisan tea is produced in only two villages in the Mount Meng region of Fujian Province China. To craft this tea, young tea leaves are plucked in the early Springtime from remote tea bushes that are located at an elevation of 2,000 to 5,000 feet above sea level. Once plucked, the tea leaves are curled around a sacred piece of wood and left to dry. This drying process creates the ring shape. This tea is scented when the piece of wood, wrapped with the leaves, is exposed to flowers and smoke during the drying process. After the leaves are dried they're gently removed from the wood. The result of this drying technique is delicate rings of green tea that are complex in their flavor profile. This artisan approach to tea crafting produces a complex green tea that has notes of flowers, wood, and smoke. A truly exquisite tea!

Ingredients: rolled green tea from Fujian province China

Steep Directions: steep 1-2 tsp of tea per 8 oz of below boiling water, 175°F, for 2-4 minutes. Use the same rings for multiple infusions with increased steep time. Continue until the rings are completely unfurled.
