Description: A variation of Japanese Sencha, Fukamushi Sencha is a sencha that has been steamed twice as long as traditional sencha. The double steaming process, known as fukamushi, creates an emerald green cup of tea with a rich brothy taste.
The double steaming process creates a richer and more sweet grassy green tea. The brothy taste is enhanced and you will find less astringency than a traditional sencha.
Ingredients: deep steamed sencha green tea from Shizuoka, Japan
Steep Time: steep 1 tsp of tea per 8 oz of below boiling water, 165-175°F, for 45 seconds to 2 minutes.
